Solo Leveling Leaves Tapas, Ragnarok Still on Hiatus
The countdown to read Solo Leveling on Tapas, two long hiatuses with no return date and a first look at The Boxer anime.
A week of countdowns and waiting. Solo Leveling has an expiry date on Tapas, its sequel still has no news and Tower of God is now more than a year and a half into its hiatus. At least The Boxer gave us something to celebrate.
Solo Leveling, on Tapas until March
With the Tapas shutdown already announced, this week made clear what it means for its most famous series: Solo Leveling will only be readable there until March 31, 2027. The same goes for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the sequel webtoon, and for its novel, whose official English version was also on Tapas. Unlocked episodes can’t be moved to any other Kakao service.
If you read in English, you’re not out of options: Solo Leveling is also on Tappytoon, according to ICv2, and Yen Press has the print edition.
Ragnarok still has no date
The Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webtoon closed its second season on January 7, 2026, with chapter 68, and there’s been no news of the third since. Neither Kakao nor Tapas has given a date, according to ChapterBrief’s tracker. The break between seasons 1 and 2 was about four months; this one is already at nine.
There’s a solid reason: Jin, the lead artist, is starting his mandatory military service, and someone else will draw season 3, according to ComicBook. If you read Murim Login or SSS-Class Suicide Hunter, you already know that long breaks are par for the course in manhwa.
Tower of God, no return date
The wait for Tower of God is even longer. Part 3 ended with episode 235 in February 2025, and since then the official WEBTOON page only says it “will be back”, with no date or reason (ChapterBrief).
The Boxer, first trailer
After its New York Comic Con announcement, The Boxer anime now has a first trailer. It’s co-directed by Takehiro Kubota and Kang Won-yeong, with studios breccia and STUDIO JEMI, and it’s coming to Crunchyroll. No date yet.
As I said last week, it’s one of the best series in the medium. If you want to reach the anime knowing what it’s about, it’s complete on WEBTOON.
