Overgeared Anime: Where to Watch, Cast and Release Schedule

The Overgeared anime is here. REDICE Studio’s webtoon, based on Saenal’s web novel about an unlucky gamer who becomes a legendary blacksmith, has been adapted as Tempal: Item no Chikara (“Tempal: The Power of Items”), its Japanese title. Here’s where to watch it, when new episodes arrive and who’s behind it.

Where to watch Overgeared

Outside Japan: Crunchyroll streams the series with English subtitles and an English dub. Availability can vary by country, so check the Crunchyroll listing where you live.
In Japan: the TV broadcast began on Friday, October 2, 2026, on Tokyo MX, BS11 and other channels at 11 p.m. JST. Amazon Prime Video in Japan has offered early weekly access since September 27.

Release date and schedule

Episode 1 arrived on Crunchyroll on September 27, 2026, and the English dub launched the same day as the Japanese version. New episodes follow a weekly schedule. Published guides disagree on the exact release day and on the total number of episodes, so the series page on Crunchyroll is the most reliable place to check when the next one drops.

What’s the story?

Grid is a player down on his luck in the virtual-reality game SATISFY. A lucky break sends him back to the very bottom, below level 0, but it also puts him on the path of a legendary blacksmith. The series follows his climb from there.

Should you read the webtoon first?

There’s no need: the anime starts at the beginning of Grid’s story, so it works as an entry point for newcomers. If it hooks you, the webtoon lets you keep going much further than a single TV season can cover.
